Having been a convert to Staedtler Mars Lumograph Blue, especially the 7b, I was excited to try the new Black range and haven’t been disappointed. The range goes from a 2b, 4b, 6b and 8b. They have have the flat black look that I get with the Blue 7b. The Black range have a higher carbon to graphite rate, which gives them a lush dark hue that is matt, though I found the 2,4 and 6b still have a slight shine when heavily applied. If you love drawing you will love the addition of these pencils to the Staedtler range.
